December 6th tournament results

Congratulations to Ric, Joey, Grant, Cathryn, Molly, Danielle, and Brian, all of whom medaled in their divisions. Ric especially stood out, winning the all-around best martial artist category and Brian won the forms grand champion title as well. In all we had a great time and represented our style with distinction.   

May 13th rank tests

+ Ric and Doug tested for and achieved their blue sashes, showing some good solid basics, even under stress.

+ Justin tested for and achieved his purple sash, so he's nearing the massive plateau of brown sash.

Feb 2nd Tournament

+ Doug, Matt, and Brian represented at the Oregon City tournament with Brian competing again for the first time in more than ten years and Matt for his first time ever.

Results:

Doug won 2nd in sparring (against some big guys), 2nd in forms and weapons.

Matt took 1st in weapons sparring, 4th in sparring, and 1st in both empty-hand and weapon forms.

Brian took 1st in empty-hand forms and weapons forms, but was beaten in point sparring, taking 3rd.
